Are children's righ important?

The UN Convention on the Rights of Child is the widest ratified human rights treaty of the world. It was adopted at the 20^th of November 1989, the UN dedicated that day to the International Day of Children. To celebrate this particular date, the Department of Human Rights and Politics is organizing a discussion with prof. habil Herczog Maria, sociologist, international child protection expert, former member of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child about the current trends and challenges of children's rights.
