The Department of International Relations and European Studies’  diverse research community bridges International Relations (IR) theory, Security Studies, European Studies, Migration Studies, Nationalism Studies, and Foreign Policy Analysis. Our staff is deeply involved with the IR Bachelors and Masters program, which remain some of the most popular programs at ELTE. We seek to develop creative, student-centered approaches to the study of international politics, with a special emphasis on diverse scholarly perspectives. We welcome a robust exchange of ideas and strive to foster a truly open and international community that can serve as a key intellectual hub for Hungary-based IR research.
